SILL AND SOUND ARCHITECTS

Luxury Storefront
TYPE:
Commercial Facade Redesign
LOCATION:
Brussels, Belgium
STATUS:
Unrealized

This project explores the architectural transformation of a building's commercial frontage through a series of distinct design proposals, each conceived to express the luxury and refinement expected of a high-end retail presence.

At the core of each variant lies a shared design language: generous ceiling heights that amplify spatial grandeur, full transparency through expansive glazing, and the deliberate expression of the facade's load-bearing structure as an aesthetic statement inits own right.

Each proposal engages a specific material palette to define its character. Glass — in its various treatments, from clear to translucent — shapes the relationship between interior and exterior, modulating light and visibility. Stone and marble introduce weight, permanence, and a rich contrast between solid and voids.

Together, these proposals offer a rigorous framework for adaptation, allowing the design to respond to the specific identity and requirements of any high-end commercial tenant.
