SILL AND SOUND ARCHITECTS

Green Facade
TYPE:
Housing, Extension and Conversion
LOCATION:
Etterbeek, Belgium
STATUS:
Unrealised

The project is conceived as a conceptual extension of a 1932 modernist building in Brussels, originally designed by Paul Eenens. It proposes a strikingly contemporary addition: an open, green-infused façade that deliberately contrasts with the solid yellow-brick mass of the existing structure. Through this dialogue between transparency and opacity, lightness and permanence, the intervention seeks to reinterpret the architectural language of the original building while establishing a distinct identity rooted in contemporary urban and environmental sensibilities.
